Once you pass the newborn stage, it can be easy to think that the next big occasion worth capturing on camera is the first birthday! But that couldn’t be further from the truth! As a baby photographer in Fleet, trust me when I say there are so many memorable milestones in that first year of a baby’s life that make for the most adorable photos.
Like the 3/4 month stage when they start to master tummy time and can hold themselves up on their front with their little heads bobbing up and down. Or when those smiles start coming thick and fast and you’re able to really engage with your baby and know exactly how to make them giggle AKA the best sound in the world! Or how about the 7/8 month mark when they’re able to sit unassisted, surrounded by some of their favourite things, and interact directly with the camera – that is, before they learn to crawl/walk at which point sitting still will be “so last week”!
What can you expect from a baby or child photoshoot?
Naturally, the main focus of a baby photoshoot is your little one. There will be several outfit changes, as well as the opportunity to incorporate some of their favourite toys, artwork, blankets or keepsakes into the photos. I will pay close attention to their big, beaming eyes and their wiggly little toes, as well as documenting all those quirky expressions and funny characteristics that set your baby apart from the others.
However, if they have older siblings, they are of course also welcome at the photoshoot – and mum and dad, I’d love you to be involved too! Some of my most loved baby photographs are of parents lifting their little ones into air as if they are flying or singing nursery rhymes to them – ‘Wind The Bobbin Up’ seems to be a firm favourite in my experience and during my nine years of working as a baby photographer in Fleet, trust me when I say I have a full repertoire of smile-inducing songs up my sleeve!

When should I book my baby photoshoot?
For pre-walking babies, I would recommend photoshoots take place either at my garden studio in Fleet (within easy reach of local Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire towns including Farnborough, Aldershot, Yateley, Odiham, Farnham, Basingstoke, Guildford and Woking) or in your own home. If you prefer more lifestyle type images and would like your house to act as the backdrop to your images, I am more than happy to travel to you for your baby photoshoot (my shoot fees include travel of up to 20 miles return – additional mileage is charged at 40p per mile). However, if the thought of tidying the house and making it photoshoot-ready fills you with dread, you are more than welcome to come to me where everything is set up ready to go and I have various blankets and props that we can use during the session. Once babies are on the move, photographing outside also becomes an option – but locations and everything else can be discussed and confirmed during our pre-photoshoot telephone/email consultation.
I also offer headshot photography for any budding actors / actresses – these are perfect if your child has been signed by an agency and needs a striking portfolio for their online profile.

Session Fee
- Email/telephone consultation to discuss ideas and best ways to prepare for your photoshoot
- A two hour relaxed photoshoot at my garden studio in Fleet, Hampshire or at an indoor / outdoor location of your choice
- A viewing gallery of approximately 30-40 images from which to choose from
- Five individually edited high resolution digital images sent to you in jpg format with full printing rights
